Third Periodontist Joins FDS
We are pleased to introduce Dr James Carrigy who will be providing sessions from both our Taringa and Sunshine Coast rooms. James is also available to see patients at the new FDS facility; Brisbane Northside – Strathpine.
James is happy to receive referrals for all routine periodontal and implant matters.
And – yes – James is John’s son.
As an aside, John’s daughter Sarah has just completed her BDS dental degree at Adelaide University – and John has another son in Dentistry at Griffith! So the Carrigy name will be around in SE Queensland for a while! And did I mention both James and John are married to dentists and Sarah is engaged to a dentist…
Oral Medicine Specialist – Dr Simon Moore.
We are very fortunate to have Dr Simon Moore providing services for FDS out of our three main facilities (Taringa, Strathpine and Mountain Creek). Simon also provides visiting branch services in the Brisbane CBD, at Tewantin and also Hervey Bay.
Our other Periodontists & “Shared Care” team
At FDS we don’t have any in-house hygienists – this is a clinical choice to try to enhance a team approach to patient care with referring practices – bringing their hygiene cells back into the supportive care role as soon as possible. We endeavour to provide regular clinical updates on patient progress – however – you are always welcome to contact our team at any time for further patient treatment details.
FDS now has a dietitian service
Due to the strong link between systemic conditions (such as diabetes) with Periodontal Disease, as well as the multiple ways nutrition and diet can effect oral health – FDS has engaged the services of Ms Caitlin Fulford.
Caitlin is very experienced within her field and will provide a full range of dietary services in addition to helping FDS patients with specific oral issues.
